IMIBIC launches a new Fellowship Programme for Personalised and Precision Medicine

IMIBIC Fellowship Programme for Personalised and Precision Medicine offers 6 Fellowships of up to 36 months to Experienced Researchers. The Call for Proposals will remain open until the 10th of January 2020.
IMIBIC-P2Med is a new Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND Fellowship Programme at the Maimonides Biomedical Research Institute of Cordoba (IMIBIC), Cordoba, Spain. It is jointly funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 MSCA-Cofund scheme and the University of Cordoba (UCO), the Regional Government of Andalusia (Junta de Andalucía) and the Foundation for Biomedical Research of Córdoba (FIBICO).
The Fellowships provide trans-national mobility and training that improve the employability and career prospects of experienced researchers in the field of Personalised and Precision Medicine. The selected fellows will perform forward-looking research in a field which is set to become the standard of medical practice, situating them in an advantaged position to continue their research careers.
The Fellowships are targeted to Recognised Researchers (R2) of any nationality. Eligible applicants must, at the time of the deadline of the call, be in possession of a PhD or demonstrate having at least 4 years of full time equivalent postgraduate research experience. In addition, eligible applicants shall not have resided or carried out their main activity in Spain for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the deadline of the call.
How to apply
To apply for the Fellowships, the candidates will present their curricular merits and an innovative research project in one of the areas corresponding to the five scientific programmes of IMIBIC. They will also select a host group and supervisor among the different research groups of IMIBIC.
Selection and evaluation
The selection and evaluationfollows an open, transparent, and merit-based selection procedure, based on peer review. Selected Fellows, nominated Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellows, will be employed for the entire duration of the Fellowship. All Fellowships are based in IMIBIC, with optional research stays at our Partner Organisations.
Salary
The Annual Gross Salary will range between 34.850 € and 38.930 € depending on the Fellow’s family status. In addition, all Fellows will receive 6.360 € per year for research and training costs.
Call for Proposals
Application deadline is 10th of January 2020.
The evaluation and selection will take place from January to May 2020, and selected fellows will incorporate to IMIBIC between June and September 2020.
