About
Research Scientist Assignment “Bone Tissue Engineering - Bioprinting”
The Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences, Foundation of Research and Technology - Hellas, (FORTH/ICE- HT) is seeking applicants for one research scientist assignment in the context of the research project “Precision Manufacturing of Microengineered Complex Joint Implants (JOINTPROMISE)”, which is implemented under the H2020 Research and Innovation Action.
Job Description
To conduct research as a research scientist, in the framework of the aforementioned project "JOINTPROMISE". The main objective of the specific part of JOINTPROMISE is to use microtissues for biofabrication of implants for skeletal regeneration. The main focus will be on bioprinting of cartilaginous microtissues for bottom-up engineering of skeletal implants.
Location: FORTH/ICE-HT, Patras, Greece
Duration: up to 6 months, with the potential of renewal
Salary: up to 1.400 € per month depending on qualifications (total cost of the employer, including social security and taxes)
Envisaged starting date: 01/04/2021
Requirements and Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree in Materials Science or/and Mechanical Engineering
- The candidate is required to hold a Masters in Biomedical Engineering
- At least one publication in a scientific journal or announcement in a conference
- Candidates must have good knowledge of the English language
The evaluation of the candidacies will be based on the following criteria and qualifications:

SelectionProcedure
Applications that are received on time will be evaluated by a scientific committee using the criteria mentioned above. If necessary, certain candidates will be invited to a personal interview with the committee.
The outcome of the selection will be announced on the website of FORTH/ICE-HT as well as on the website of “DIAVGEIA”.
