Research fellows will be based at the Institute for European Integration in Hamburg, where they are provided with a workstation and access to the University of Hamburg’s library system. During their stay, they are to conduct academic research focusing on current challenges in the EU’s relations with one of the following countries: China, Russia, or the USA.

Fellowships are open to researchers of the following disciplines: Economics, Legal Studies and Political Science, as well as neighboring disciplines.
Fellows are expected to:
· conduct their research at Europa-Kolleg Hamburg
· present their research in a seminar setting
· produce a manuscript to be published by the Institute for European Integration
The successful candidates will be selected by an interdisciplinary academic committee based on the following criteria:
· a convincing research agenda in one of the stated fields
· general academic excellence
· excellent English language skills
