About

Description

The purpose of this proposed research is to investigate and propose social entrepreneur typologies to further the understanding of their motivations, barriers and varying support requirements in an Irish context. The contribution of this research will be in understanding heterogeneous support requirements of social entrepreneurs in the Irish context, where more tailored and effective supports can be put in place. A mixed-method approach will provide a robust and in-depth analysis of social entrepreneur typologies within the Irish context in terms of pathways, motivations and barriers experienced. The research will provide valuable recommendations to Irish policy makers in terms of necessary policy change and appropriate allocation of funding
