<p>Over the past two decades, the Institute of Flight Guidance has achieved a worldwide leading position in the design, development and testing of air traffic controller support systems. Current focuses are the development of approach, sector, taxi and departure planning systems for differently highly automated aircraft, independent of being manned or unmanned. The adaptation of classical traffic management approaches is also considered in the field of urban air mobility. Both functional and non-functional requirements are relevant for these systems. Non-functional requirements include resilience, system architecture, security and system design. In cooperation with worldwide partners such as NASA and ENRI (Japan), the Institute is involved in the development of the operational air traffic management of the future. The implementation is carried out with the help of prototypes for assistance and automation functions and their human-machine interfaces. Manual software development is increasingly being supplemented or even replaced by machine learning methods. The concepts and systems are evaluated with the help of human-in-the-loop simulations in the institute's own simulation environment.</p>
<p>&nbsp;To strengthen our team we are looking for an employee for the tasks:</p>
development of concepts for the optimization of air traffic processes systematic derivation of requirements for user-centered and situation-adapted air traffic controller, support for different controller working positions, taking aviation security into account concept development for future air traffic controller support systems in all flight phases and in taxiing cooperation in EU projects and in cooperation with NASA and ENRI</p>
