The Department of Psychology at Reykjavík University invites applications for a full-time academic position in statistics, data analysis, and research methodology within psychology.
The position is open at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, depending on the qualifications and experience of the applicant.
We are seeking a dynamic scholar with strong expertise in quantitative methods and data analysis, who is also enthusiastic about teaching, student supervision, and collaborative work in an interdisciplinary academic environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research in the field of psychology or related disciplines with a clear focus on quantitative methods and analytical approaches.
- Teaching courses in statistics, methodology, and related areas at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Supervise student theses at the BSc, MSc, and PhD levels.
- Provide consultation to students and faculty regarding data analysis in research and thesis projects.
- Participation in the administration of the department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A PhD in Psychology or a closely related field, with demonstrated expertise in quantitative methods, data analysis, and/or research methodology.
- A strong research record, supported by publications in peer-reviewed international journals.
- Teaching experience at a university level and an ambition for excellence in teaching.
- Excellent English proficiency is a precondition.
- Strong interpersonal skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
